Earning Money In Student Life
I was brought up in a household where earning money was never considered a big deal. Doing some chores for the neighbors and supplementing one’s pocket money was considered a good thing. Of course, I never got lavish praise for it either. My parents felt that dignity of labour was too basic a thing to be fussed about.
However, earning pocket money during the summer vacations by doing odd jobs around the house is not the same as earning serious money as a student. We all have done such chores in the past. We never thought of saving for the future or of starting our own business with the money earned when we complete our student life. The money we earned was spent on junk food and shy first dates.
Thinking of earning money in student life for serious objectives is a completely different thing. For starters, it is very important to balance the study and work life properly. Earning ten thousand pounds in a year but ending up spending an additional year at college does not make sense. On the other hand, completing college with lots of medals and plaudits but asking Dad to send some pocket money over does not make sense either.
The best way to balance this conundrum is to focus on skills that one has learned in school to earn some extra money. A person studying to become cosmetology expert can easy write about hair restoration online to earn extra money. Such an approach acts as a revision of the syllabus and improves chances of getting better grades.
