Earning a little extra on the side
So I was sat around moaning again to my flatmates about how I still couldn’t believe I was going to be in education for like forever! And I was feeling sorry for myself that I had no money because my school and study hours were so hectic that I couldn’t get hired, not even for a part time job, which sucks as I need money. Every student needs money and I was fed up of feeling like the only one without any. That is when I came up with a great idea…
I always knew that eBay could be a nice little money maker but I had never actually taken advantage of the site itself, but now I was ready and I was a man on a mission that not even a hurricane could stop…ok well maybe a hurricane but whatever.
All I needed to figure out was what I was going to sell. So I started looking round my flat and nothing was jumping out at me. Then a stroke of genius hit me, my granddad did house removals and he always had heaps of stuff he was trying to sell or get rid of. Obviously I was straight on the phone to granddad telling him how I had planned to become a millionaire and I wouldn’t forget him when I made the big time. Anyway….
Gramps told me sure I could have the stuff, he had two garages full. I got myself up to the garages and started taking photos and descriptions and by the end of the weekend I had listed over 100 items. To lure people in I offered the same day courier service so they could be sure to have their item delivered that day if they purchased early in the morning or late evening.
The eBay fanatics went wild for it and I managed to make myself a nice little earner. I am such an entrepreneur.
